Ramallah 06/12/2017– The Democracy and Workers’ Rights Center (DWRC) concluded a three- day training course (18 training hours) on presentation skills on December 02nd, 2017, in Ramallah. The training course was attended by 19 members of youth councils and graduates from the West Bank and aimed to build youth’s capacities in presentation skills.

During the training course, participants gained knowledge about most important presentation steps and stages, their elements and characteristics and how to deal with difficult questions that may be asked by the audience. In addition, participants improved their capacity to give speeches, learning about common rules, types of speeches and obstacles.

Through practice, they developed their public speaking skills and learned to prepare themselves to face an audience.

Arine Saed, a participant in the training course, stressed youth’s needs for such trainings saying: “the most important part of the course is the interaction between the team and trainer”. She added: “this training course strengthened my confidence and now I can implement everything I learned in real life”.

The training course was based on practical exercises and working groups’ discussions. Participants also discussed possible amendments to Palestinian legislations and policies that affect youth in Palestine, in the absence of specific laws on youth rights.

The trainee, Bashar Awashra said: “the information and activities addressed in the training course were well organized; practical exercises, comparison and linking with - reality had a big impact on the consolidation of information”.
