In 1996, DWRC launched its labor education program in the Palestinian territories to address lack of knowledge and skills of Palestinian workers and leaders. Since the establishment of Training and Education Unit, over three thousand female and male workers’ representatives and activists have been trained on a variety of topics in order to empower them to defend their labor rights and socio-economic rights, organize democratically and manage their trade unions or workers’ committees in an effective and transparent manner.
