Dear readers, in the file below you can find our labor and trade union newsletter in Palestine for March & April, 2020.
In this news letter we summarize the situation of Palestinian workers during the Covid-19 pandemic and its effects, with a focus on Palestinian workers working in the Israeli Labor Market. We also provide some information about female kindergarten workers and how the Covid-19 pandemic effected their livelihoods, as thousands of female Kindergarten workers are left without any source of income, after closure of all educational organizations, we focused as well on how the Covid-19 pandemic has increased the vulnerability of Street Vendors in the Gaza Strip, due to measures taken to prevent the spread. In addition, we talked about DWRC's campaign about occupational and general health, that is being implemented in partnership with the Labor and Health Ministries in Gaza. This campaign is contributing in raising awareness among workers on prevention mechanisms at workplaces in light of the risks related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
